From phototype I to phototype III, the practitioner will favor the Alexandrite engine of the Cynosure Elite +, because its wavelength of 755 nm is recognized as the most efficient on these phototypes, allowing to perform a laser hair removal treatment with a maximum comfort and result on treatment purposes.

TYPE I TO III PHOTOTYPES IN DETAIL
 

• Phototype 1:It's the redheads. Their hair is red, their skin very fair, milky. Sun exposure, even very short, leads to sunburn and they hardly tan.

• Phototype 2:the hair is blond or brown and the skin is fair. People with phototype II almost always have sunburn.

• Phototype 3:These people are blond or brown and their skin is light or dull. They are sometimes sunburns at the beginning of exposure.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR DARK PHOTOTYPES

For laser hair removal of dark, non-tanned phototypes, the practitioner will favor the Nd Yag wavelength. It is the one that presents the best results on phototypes IV to VI and tanned skin.

• Phototype 4:this phototype corresponds to people who have brown to dark skin and who very rarely have sunburn. These people tan quickly and their tan is dark.

• Phototype 5:this phototype is also called the Mediterranean type. Dark-skinned people who almost never get sunburn and who tan very quickly.

• Phototype 6:Those are people with black skin.
